If you don’t already know, I’m a big Los Angeles Lakers fan. It’s in my blood. My parents are big fans, so i’ve been raised to love purple and gold. We would have chili dogs and watch the games or listen to them on the radio since we didn’t have cable for a long time.
If you remeber, last June I did a post before game 7 of the finals and they won. I found it fitting to do another post about the Lakers since it’s playoffs and they need a win tonight.
I thought we could take a look back at some of the hair from past Lakers.
Even though he didn’t play for the Lakers, I couldn’t leave Phil out…
Lookin’ good boys, lookin’ good.
Good luck in Dallas tonight!!
I have to admit I became crazed with all the Royal wedding madness. I set my alarm at 2:40am to watch a beautiful girl marry her prince. It was so beautiful and so worth getting up for.
Everything was just perfect. The dress, the hair and the hats were so fun and wild!
Here are a few favorites from the event…
Kate was just perfect. Classic.
The reception dress and hair…
Kate’s she Pippa ( the other star of the day)
Pippa’s reception dress…
Mother of the bride, the Queen and Step mother…
My favorite dressed guests… hot!! Check out her shoes! I believe they are 7″ and she is 5 months preggo??!
And the hot messes of the day…
I could talk about this for days!! My husband got so sick of all the wedding stuff. I just loved it all
Most of my friends know I have a nail polish obsession. It might be more of a compulsion, but that’s ok. I used to bite my nails really bad when I was younger and it wasn’t until high school I finally stopped. I noticed that if i had a manicure, my nails looked nice and biting them messed it up so I think this is where my obsession started.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE having freshly painted nails. I would spend my last $5 on a polish change. I love dark polish, very rarely will you catch me wearing a light color and I would rather die than get a french manicure, that’s just me. The problem with dark polish is that it chips so fast and since I do hair it really doesn’t last. If I have a chipped nail I lose my mind!! That’s all I can focus on! I will pick off the rest of the polish if I am not near remover. Yes OCD I know, but I can’t help it. This is where my Chanel nail polish collection started. It is oil based and lasts much longer than water based polishes. So I spend the extra $$$.
I get so excited to find out a new Chanel color is coming out. It’s a sickness. I sometimes buy more than one if it’s a limited edition.
I about lost my mind when the OPI gels came out. I can wear my dark nails with no chips for 2 1/2 weeks (that’s my average, 3 1/2 weeks is my longest) This really changed my life. They are dry the second they are done. With regular polish I sit in the nail place forever cause I hate smudges. And with a new baby, let’s be real I don’t have the time. I LOVE the OPI gels. My favorite hands down. (no pun intended)
I like to give my nails a break from the gels every 3 times so today I had to try the OPI Shattered. Super fun!! The combos are endless!
Here a few of my favorite colors:
Black: Chanel Black Satin
Dark: Chanel Vandetta or Blue Satin
OPI gel: Licolon Park After Dark or Deep Sea
Fun Color: China Glaze Turned UP Turquise (neon) or Chanel Jade
Red: Chanel Barcelona
In honor of Ms. Elizabeth Taylor, I thought we could take a look back at some of her different hair styles. She was such a glamorous and charitable woman. A true beauty. She will be missed.
I have been so excited to post this. I am writing this to share with you the great news that my son has been born. Just last week, on January 6, 2011 at 9:23pm, Greyson James Walker joined us in the world. He weighed in at 8lbs 13oz, was 20.5 inches long, and is very strong and healthy. Matt and I are thrilled with our new bundle of joy and have been blessed with a little bit of time at home to enjoy our son. I can’t wait to tell you all about this little guy when you come in to get your hair done next time.
Although I am extremely excited to spend some time at home with my little guy, I am also very excited to get back into the salon and do some hair for my amazing clients. I am returning, as planned, the first week in February. Please take the time to email, text, or call me so we can schedule your next hair appointment. I’ll be back in few short weeks and can’t wait to get you back in my chair.
Attached is a photo of Greyson at just three days old.
I hope this message finds you in good health and great times. I also hope you had an amazing Holiday Season and a Happy New Year.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon,
